Public Health Information – Amesbury Incident

You will be aware that police continue with their investigations in Amesbury and Salisbury; since Saturday, Wiltshire Police, Wiltshire Council, Public Health England and many other partners have worked to assess the risk and ensure that steps are being taken to protect the public.  The assessment from Public Health England is that the risk to the general public remains low.

We are now at the point where hot weather, long days and school holidays mean that children may be out and about around both Amesbury and Salisbury.  If children and young people encounter any strange objects in the coming days or weeks, they should leave them alone and alert the police.  The message is: “If you didn’t drop it, don’t pick it up”.

We are aware that many of you have already spoken to your children with regard to this matter and teachers have reiterated the message across the school.

As ever, thank you for your continued support and understanding.  Of course if we receive any further updates you will be notified.
