Welcome to Amesbury Archer School Council 2017-2018
We represent the children's voice, giving all children at Amesbury Archer Primary School the chance to share their ideas and have their say. By encouraging everyone to think of great ideas to help the school, we can become even better and we know that it is so important that pupils play a part in this.
Ideas / issues are passed on to the school council. At the meetings we discuss, investigate, plan, take action or find someone who can help.
There are representatives from every class from Year 1 children to Year 6, who are voted in by their class peers; true democracy in action! Each class has 2 School Council Reps and we are supported by Mrs Ault and Miss Gray.
We meet every other week to discuss ways we can help the school to become even better. Sometimes they are ideas from the children, others from the staff but also actions from the Governors and our Headteacher.
Our focus 2017-2018
Term 1- 2: Friendship Week and Anti-bulling policy. We are looking at the policy together and are helping to write a 'child-friendly' version to share with our peers.
