Whole School Archer's Day
At the end of last term, the whole school had a fantastic day discovering the history of the Amesbury Archer. The children, from Reception to Year 6, took part in a number of cross curricular activities including making arrows, clay beakers, learning about the history and importance of Stonehenge, and discovered all about the Archer through drama and poetry. The highlight of the day was working with the Salisbury Museum, where children had the opportunity to dress up in Stone-age clothing and explored the artefacts that were found with the Archer's remains.
